Dr. BIDHAN DATTA, D.Litt
Dr. Bidhan Datta is a poet of repute and is an illustrious figure in the literary world. In the
field of literature and culture, he is versatile genius. Dr. Datta's special field of interest is
veda and the great poet Michael Madhusudan Dutta's literature as well as ancient and
modern literature. He participated in many national and international poetry and literary
conferences. His poems have been translated in English, Korean, Japanese, German,
and Urdu Greek and in many more languages. Dr. Datta is a well discussed poet in
bengal as well as in the world. His poets, essays and short stories have been published
in several jouranal and magazines all over the world. He visited many countries for
literary seminars. |
His lecture on ‘Transcending Cultural Aestheticism’ exploring literary
exchanges between India and Japan in poetic forms, contents well taken by Delhi
University. He was invited by international cultural academy of Athens. He delivered
lectures on Bengali Literature and poems in Switzerland, France, Austria, Rangoon,
Dhaka, Russia, Greece and many more countries. Dr. Datta is also a lyricist (more than
1000 in his credit) and a talk show host of All India Radio, Kolkata. He was invited by
the Anthology of world poetry from China, Japan, England and USA. He has written
more than 40 books and a few of his most important books are ; Noise of the Century,
Satabdir Satadhara, Gold Dust, Madhusudan Smriti, Parliament Theke Janapath,
Manuse Thikana, Saraniyo Jara Baraniya Tara, Akey Ange Atorup, Sada Manuser
Deshey, Sundar Prithibi, Purbodesh, World Global Anthology Heaven, Sky, etc.
All the books of Dr. Datta are displayed in world poet congress library and the same is displayed in Yangminsheng in Chinese Culture University. His two books, “Darao Pathikbar” and ”Tistha Kshanakal” are used in M.A. class of Calcutta University.
He has been given numerous awards and recognitions for his out standing literary works by different organizations from different parts of the world. Some of these awards are.
